How to Make Your Room Romantic

As newlyweds, you should have a bedroom that encourages passion and romance. Here are some ideas on how to make your bedroom a haven of love.

First, clean the room up and remove clutter. A bedroom with clothes strewn around anywhere is not an atmosphere that is conducive to romance. Clean up the room by removing dirty laundry, vacuuming debris, dusting the windows, and arranging bedroom items. Add some romantic colours like burgundy, red, beige, or white. Painting the entire room is not necessary. Instead, you can hang thick, lovely curtains or place a beautiful rug with the colours mentioned earlier.

Invest some money on furniture. Throw away that old platform bed and replace it with a romantic canopy bed, a four-poster bed, or a bed with a fleur-de-lis headboard. Put in a cute love seat at the corner and maybe a beautifully designed two-person coffee table by the window. Your creativity is the only absolute limit.

Meanwhile, your bed is the centrepiece of the room. It should be covered with clean sheets. You can put throw pillows on it, covered with pillow covers that have ruffles at the edges. Make sure that your bed should look inviting to your spouse. Furthermore, lighting plays a very big factor in making your bedroom romantic. Do not turn on the main lights. Instead, light the bedroom with lampshades. You can also opt for tall scented candles on candle holders since these can truly make your room sexier.

Lastly, place a bouquet of fresh flowers on the nightstand. You can also place a bowl of potpourri beside it to add fragrance to the air. As an accent and a way to tell your spouse how special he or she is, keep a nice-looking box with your love letters or mementos from your first date close to your bed.
